Peebles Rugby Football Club

Peebles RFC are pleased to announce our 90th Peebles Sevens on Saturday 5th August 2017.

For only the second time they will be played at the start of the rugby season.

The earliest record available of rugby being played in Peebles was of a game in 1877 in Kingsmeadows Park. Peebles Rugby Football Club was formed in 1879, ceased to exist about 1900 but was re-constituted in 1923. Now, we run two and occasionally three senior teams, and have a thriving colts and youth section. Strong links have been forged local schools in the area through our Club Development Officer.

The 1sts play in RBS National League 2 and the oldest league in the world, the Radio Borders Border League. The 2nds play in Reserve League East 1 & the Colts in the Border Semi Junior League.

The club concentrates on developing local based players. There are strong local family connections throughout the club.
